In the crowdiest place,

On lonely lanes,

While laughing with friends,

I miss you.

He adored her.
He always wanted to be with her.
His fingers would run through her hair passionately.
Sometimes she would try to escape,
yet she would sleep carefree & lazily,
with his arms around her neck.
She has the best eyes, he would say,
and then kiss her goodbye each day.
He would talk to her about work,
and she seemed to understand it all.
That's one mad man, people used to call.
Then one morning, he woke up,
just to find, she wasn't beside him!
He panicked and started searching..
He searched & searched, but she couldn't be found.
Although upset, he still had hopes deep down.
Then one fine day, she turned up at his door!
Surprised, he dropped a tear..

And then he saw, she wasn't alone.
With her, were her babies newborn!
His happiness no one could have known..
For he would now have five Cats,
instead of just one!! :-)

गर्व

गर्व तो बहुत था चाँद को, की रात का वो राजा है

आसमाँ फ़िरभी चमक रहा था, अमावस के दिन..

Translation:

The moon very proudly thought of himself as the king of night. 

Yet the no-moon sky was shining brightly.

जुदाई

सुना है जुदाई का दर्द बड़ा गहरा होता है

हमे तो तब पता चले, गर कभी रूह जुदा हो..

Translation:

I have heard, the pain of separation is beyond bearing. How will I know of it? for our souls have never been apart.

मंज़िल

निकले थे दोनो, मंज़िल की तलाश में

बड़ी देर से जाना, वो साथही चल रही थी..

Translation:

(This sher can be interpreted in two ways.)

1. We (a couple) have come a long way in search of the destination. Only now we realize, that we ourselves were the destinations for each other.

2. The journey we did, itself was the destination.

खूबसूरती

हसीन तो बहुत मिले हमें इस सफ़र में

पता चला हमारी आँखें ही खूबसूरत थी..

Translation:

I met so many wonderful people during my journey till now. Now I know, my eyes only saw the beautiful things.

बेहोशी

गालियाँ खूब मिली हमें, हमारी बेहोशी के लिए

कसूर मगर तेरा है, की होश हमें पता नहीं..

Translation:

People called me names for being in trance all the time. But it's because of you that I don't know what it's like to come to senses.

आँखें

पता है हमें, मूँह कम क्यों खोलते हो तुम

गज़बकी वो आँखें है, जो उसका काम करती है..

Translation:

I know why you are a person of few words.

Those eyes are quite awesome, who do all the talking!
